Way back in the early 80's Grant became inspired to learn photography when he came across his dad's 35mm Nikormat, a camera that his dad picked while serving in Vietnam in the late 60's. That camera was the catalyst in what would become a passion for many years to come.
Grant later became a photographer for a local newspaper while in high school which naturaly led to him becoming a recognizable, hardworking photographer for his college newspaper and yearbook. But it was the training and mentorship from the late Gene Boaz, a master portrait, wedding, and landscape photographer in western Kentucky, that gave Grant his knowledge and understanding in the business of photography. Grant's experience with Gene grew his passion even more and today, a couple of decades later, the passion and desire to create his artwork has never been more evident.
Grant's creative style of photography is obvious in his work. He allows his subjects to be themselves and lets the mood become expressive in front of the lens. His willingness to adapt to the environment along with the relationship he has with his subject enables endless oportunities for wonderful, artistic photography that you'll enjoy and treasure from the moment you see the final image.
